Hire IT Educational Equipment

ICT Solutions are pleased to offer the following for hire to schools, academies, federations or trusts.
Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Google Expeditions and Tour Creator Class Set

With VR and AR, teachers are no longer limited by the space of the classroom. Google Expeditions allows a teacher to guide students through collections of 360° scenes and 3D objects, pointing out interesting sites and artefacts along the way.

With Tour Creator, teachers can build virtual field trips or empower students to create their own immersive tours. You can create a virtual reality tour using your own 360° or 180° photos, Cardboard Camera photos, or images from Street View directly in the browser.

What’s in the kit:
15 x Grab Viewers with full HD 5.5” Student devices
1 x 10.1” Android Tablet
15 x Anker Selfie Sticks for AR viewing
1 x Transportable Storage and Charging Case
1 x Ricoh Theta V 360 degree camera

What is Expeditions?

Google Expeditions enable teachers to bring students on virtual trips to places like museums, underwater, and outer space. Expeditions are collections of linked virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) content and supporting materials that can be used alongside existing curriculum.
These trips are collections of virtual reality panoramas — 360° panoramas and 3D images — annotated with details, points of interest, and questions that make them easy to integrate into curriculum already used in schools.

Head of School - Bure Valley School
"At Bure Valley School, we believe that Virtual Reality (VR) can be used in classrooms to enhance pupils learning and engagement. VR has the power to transform the delivery of educational content. Through interaction with virtual worlds, pupils immerse themselves in the learning.

During our recent themed Global Week we wanted to give all of our pupils a better sense of place. When pupils read or hear about a different country, culture or time they often want to experience it. Hiring the VR Headsets meant that our pupils weren't limited to word descriptions or book illustrations. All pupils got to explore a 3D landscape that helped to bring their learning to life. We would recommend that all schools embrace this technology and make good use of the VR Kit available for hire."

Internet of Things

We're creating a network across Norfolk and Suffolk to accelerate Internet of Things innovation across the region.

Working closely with the New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership, we're installing the largest free-to-use public long-range radio network in the UK.

The network is already in use and serves businesses, private individuals and the public sector. They can use Internet of Things sensors on the network to sense, monitor, manage and report.

This can include things such as:
• Temperature
• Air quality
• If a tractor has moved or a gate has been opened
• Moisture levels on leaves
• Traffic movement
• Anything else you can think of
